The Georgian Delegation, headed by G.Sanikidze met with A.Larijani. The parties spoke about bilateral relations, cooperation in various spheres and regional security. A. Larijani expressed support to territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia. “Iran always supported independence and territorial integrity of Georgia. In new reality, we shall enhance cooperation in trade, transfers and transport spheres. We can connect Persian Gulf and Black Sea ports. We shall cooperate in regional security issues”.
According to him, the Speaker, D. Usupashvili served an important visit to Iran. “The Speaker served the official visit to Iran. His visit was very important and interesting. I would like to state that Georgia and Georgian people take the particular place in the Government of Iran in historical terms. We have very dignified and warm relations with Georgia and Georgian people. We have MP of Georgian origin and he is a very dignified Member of our Parliament”.
G. Sanikidze thanked the host for invitation and the meeting. He hailed accomplishment of negotiations on Iran Nuclear Program in Vienna. “I would like to express my content about accomplishment of Vienna negotiations. Signing the comprehensive plan of joint actions is the diplomatic victory of Iran and possibility to improve economic conditions of the country”. He handed the personal invitation of D. Usupashvili to A. Larijani.
The Georgian delegation met with Alaeddin Baroujerdi, Head of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The accent was made on Georgia-Iran economic and political cooperation. “We shall well use new reality in order to establish close economic relations regardless of the competitiveness in Iran. Our priority will be neighbors and friends. Georgia is and always was one of the first in friends and neighbors”, - the Chair stated.
The Georgian delegation is composed of G. Sanikidze, Sh. Kiknavelidze, P. Sakvarelidze, M. Tsiklauri. A. Mamedov, R. Pogosyan and N. Tsiklauri.
