The Speaker, Archil Talakvadze and the Chair of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Sofo Kiladze held the online meeting with the diplomatic corps also attended by the UNICEF representative, Ghassan Khalil taking the part in development of the Child Code.
The diplomats heard the positions about the Child Aid Call Center and its importance.
As stated, the Call Center 111 has been launched in a pilot regime since May 1 and will acquire the full intensity today.
Archil Talakvadze and Sofo Kiladze underlined importance of prompt communication between the families with children and the state services and elucidated the principle of the call center. In this context, the emphasis was made on the Parliamentary engagement.
According to S. Kiladze, the Human Rights Committee oversees the state services to render aid to the children. As noted, the children and adolescents with the problem of addiction to gambling and drugs will have the opportunity to enjoy free aid from the psychologists. The Call Center will also render the consultations for the parents of the children.
Archil Talakvadze and Sofo Kiladze thanked UNICEF for supporting the project.
