The Parliament considers the Bill on Protection of Labor Safety at Heavy, Hazardous and Dangerous Works – the spheres where the situation is critical requiring state interference. Establishment of high labor safety standards, constant monitoring of adherence thereto and further improvement of the standards are international obligations Georgia has assumed under EUAA.
At that, these obligations are reflected in the new edition of the Constitution establishing higher and new labor safety and labor rights protection standards. Hence, in view of consideration of the labor safety and labor rights protection and development of respective mechanism, the Parliament schedules the transparent and wide discussion format with involvement of all parties concerned.
Establishment of higher labor safety standards shall be directed to protection of the rights of the employees and of the employers.
Thus, employers shall be involved in development of the legal mechanisms. Healthy economic and social environment requires provision of harmonic relations between the employers and employees to increase labor productivity, facilitate to strengthening of the companies and sustainable development of the country.
