MP, Eka Beselia met with the Deputy Head of Mission of the Netherlands Embassy, Louise Lammerts to discuss the judicial reform and further cooperation.

Mme. Lammerts asked about the recommendations we have received from the Venice Commission and OSCE/ODIHR. We discussed the problems accompanying the judicial reform. I introduced our position reflected in the draft Constitutional change we now collect 200 000 signatures for. The draft envisages change of the life tenure of the judges. The change applies the already elected judges and they shall be re-elected with certain term. We further cooperate in this direction with the Dutch Embassy”, - E. Beselia noted.
