MPs Levan Koberidze and Levan Gogichaishvili met with the representatives of the petty and average travel agencies and the guides to discuss the problems in tourism and solutions.
The travel agencies introduced own solutions and expressed the will for intensive communication with the National Tourism Administration.
“When we speak about the tourism problem incurred to Georgia due to various causes, first of all we shall speak with the small and average travel operators, guides and representatives of the hotels to hear the essence of the problem. We believe that higher cooperation is necessary with the Tourism Administration to ensure prompt development of the anti-crisis plan by the Administration for this segment as there are state subsidy programs for the large companies at the market”, - L. Koberidze noted.
L. Gogichaishvili offered the travel agencies and other representatives of the sphere to use the Parliamentary podium to harbor the relations with other respective state structures.
The Tourism Administration shall be open and hear the representatives of the small and average tourism business representatives as they constitute the ambassadors of our country for the visitors.
“We will for sure lobby these groups to allow them communicating with the Economic Ministry and National Tourism Administration. The state shall develop the anti-crisis plan to protect this segment from fluctuations”, - he stated.
