The parties dwelt on the implementation of the Code on the Rights of the Child and the introduction of programs that are scheduled in different municipalities within the Code.
As per Sopho Kiladze; “We planned this meeting in person-to-person format a few weeks ago, but we decided to change the arrangement due to security concerns. We do our best to ensure the unhindered implementation of the Code amid the ongoing processes. Municipalities play an instrumental role in implementing and enforcing the Code. Therefore, they need timely information and training".
In view to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus, the Parliament has shifted to online format with sporadic access to entry for outliers.
The Code of the Rights of the Child will take effect on June 1, 2020.
