The miners informed the Chair of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee about their problems noting that working in the mine is not harmless for their lives. The miners also demand to be paid for the period of enforced idleness and aspire for the improved working conditions.

According to Sopho Kiladze: "Sadly enough, the miners' labor rights are constantly violated and the company does not improve the working conditions despite a number of admonitions and sanctions by the state”.

Amid the novel coronavirus infection, person-to-person meetings or entry of outsiders into the Parliament has been scrubbed to be conducted in an online format.
