The parties also resumed EaP policy results and discussed Summit expectations. “All the goals outlined within the EaP policy are practically fulfilled. We have the Associate Agreement ensuring political association, we have free trade opportunity implying economic integration and we have increased mobility implemented under visa free travel to EU”, - T. Khulordava stated.
EaP Summit shall revive the policy and outline ambitious plans. “It is important to define the political goals as technical and practical tasks solely will not be sufficient to meet the ambitions of the associate states”, - she stated.
She emphasized the EP document adopted for the EaP Summit and the recommendations therein and hoped that the EaP Summit Declaration can reflect the same priorities. “These are the European perspective of Georgia, necessity of differentiated approach to EaP states, including to Georgia as to the associate state through better financial support by EU”.
The parties touched upon ongoing reforms in Georgia. The guests asked about the directions of the challenges and achievements. Swedish MPs gave the positive estimation to the reforming in Georgia.
T. Khulordava appealed to her colleagues to be more active in revealing the positive image of Georgia to the EU member states. The Swedish Delegation held the meetings during the day.
