The Deputy Chair of the Education, Science and Culture Committee, Guguli Magradze participated in presentation of the Report by Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration, introduced by the School Director, Keti Jakeli.
G. Magradze underlined importance of the School in qualification of the public servants and noted that development of the country first and foremost depends on the qualification level of the public administration personnel: “These are the people ensuring the country development strategies at the place. No matter how brilliant central authority administers the country, no rapid development is possible without the high professional and motivated specialists”.
According to her, the School is dignified with the fact that the sponsors of the School ensure rapid and effective identification of the country administration challenges and ensure effective solution thereof by means of the qualified human resources.
She thanked the administration of the School for successful activity and reaffirmed support on behalf of the Parliament. The parties signed the Memorandum on Cooperation between Z. Zhvania School of Public Administration and Public Service School of Poland.
Zhvania PAS has been established 15 years ago with the main direction to address the personnel deficit in state and local self-government of the country by means of the practical and theoretical programs and facilitation integration of the highlanders and national minorities into the state life, as well as increase of qualification of personnel in state and local authorities and improvement of the level of the official language in the ethnic minorities. Besides, the School has as well developed the new programs: computer technologies basic programs, public school operation and maintenance program, pre-school education management basics etc.
The School has issued the text-books in the Georgian language for the non-Georgian lingual population and developed the online courses. Zhavania PAS, on the basis of the Memorandum, undertakes the joint programs with the Defense Ministry, Reconciliation Ministry and other organizations. It cooperates with the international partners for establishment of the modern and effective approaches and for improvement of program quality and public awareness. In this view, the School successfully maintains international cooperation and intends to collaborate with the EU member states. It has already signed the Memorandum with Poland and Britain, Israel and South Korea are soon to come.
