The sitting of the Legal Issues Committee

The Committee considered with the III reading the draft on Prosecutor’s Office, aiming at elimination of gap in the law that the rule of election of the Prosecutor’s Council by the Parliament has not been defined in the event when no majority is formed in the Parliament.

The change envisages election of both members of the PC by the Parliament with list majority amongst the candidates nominated by the Factions and at least 6 independent MPs. The draft defines the terms of election upon expiration of authority of the incumbent member. The Committee considered with the III reading the draft on Civil Code. The draft allows parties to define the different terms of termination of the agreement due to failure of implementation of obligations (non-payment) deriving from the building. The Committee supported the drafts.
