The WVG Georgia Office representatives – program manager Eka Gurgenadze, Child Protection Technical Program coordinator Nona Tsikhelashvili, the Youth Empowerment program coordinator Irakli Giorbelidze and Child Early Development program coordinator Tsira Barkaia introduced the details of the implemented and scheduled projects.
The parties noted that WVO Georgia Office covers four geographic regions: Kakheti, Imereti, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Tbilisi. The projects are known as the regional development program. The parties discussed the projects directed to the socially vulnerable families and youth policy.
“The Organization “World Vision Georgia” is one of the largest networks in the world with the Office in Georgia’s regions. We considered the issues related to pre-school education institutions, their infrastructural and contextual involvement in municipal policy. Youth policy is very important and it is effectively implemented in situ to allow the rural youth having the guideline and policy to be busy with the issues they are interested in. Taking the current factors and background, it is very important”, - Z. Gabunia stated.
The parties touched upon the issues related to the gutter children and their aid.
“We will actively cooperate with every agency that may be our potential partner in policy implementation to be developed in regional policy terms. We considered the number of issues that shall be emphasized by the Committee and every respective state agencies. I believe that communication with this organization is important for our future activity. We plan close contacts and I hope to achieve the tangible outcomes”, - Z. Gabunia stated.
