The Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Irakli Beraia held the phone conversation with the Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee of the UK House of Commons, Tom Tugendhat to discuss the epidemic situation in Georgia and Britain and the preventive measures.
The parties touched upon the key directions of the strategic partnership and especially in the post-crisis period, stressing the security and humanitarian situation on the occupied territories of Georgia and the hybrid threats posed by the occupant country, including the Russian disinformation against Georgia.
I. Beraia underlined the necessity of the further consolidation of the international society and increased pressure on Russia to make the aggressor state fulfill the assumed commitments.
The parties overviewed the progress of Georgia in EU integration terms, engagement of our country in provision of security in the Euro-Atlantic space, and the ambitious democratic reforms by the Georgian Government.
The parties dwelt on the upcoming Parliamentary Elections.
