The speech by Tedo Japaridze at the PACE Session

 

The PACE sessions started on June 23 in Strasbourg. The President of Azerbaijan, as honorary guest, delivered the speech. T. Japaridze addressed him with the question concerning regional cooperation and prospects in economic sphere, covering Georgia, Azerbaijan and Turkey. As Mr. Aliev replied, trilateral cooperation in energy and transport sphere gained geopolitical result. A month ago the first Summit was convened in Tbilisi. “Cooperation in political, economic and energy issues is important for the whole region. The first geopolitical project was Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. Nowadays, other projects are being implemented: Trans-Anatolia pipeline, South Caucasus pipeline and Trans-Adriatic pipeline from Baku through Georgia, Turkey, Greece, Albania and Bulgaria. The railway project Baku-Tbilisi-Kars connects with Asia. Tedo Japaridze participated in debates “violence in media and by media”. He spoke about importance of media and social networks in modern world.
