The Committee discussed registration of two Majority Factions: Georgian Dream – for Powerful Georgia; and Georgian Dream – Strong Economy, introduced by the Chair, Giorgi Kakhiani.
According to him, the Factions have submitted the protocols of the sittings, political platforms and Articles signed by all respective members.
The Georgian Dream – for Powerful Georgia will consist of 7 members: Bidzina Gegidze – Chair, Zaza Papuashvili – Deputy, Levan Gogichaishvili – Secretary and members: Koba Kobaladze, Giorgi Kopadze, Koba Nakaidze, Irakli Abuseridze.
The Georgian Dream – Strong Economy will consist of 11 members: Gocha Enukidze – Chair, Irakli Khakhubia – Deputy, Paata Mkheidze – Secretary and the members: Otar Danelia, Ivliane Tsulaia, Goderdzi Chankseliani, Tamaz Naveriani, Irakli Shiolashvili, Edisher Toloraia, Giorgi Totladze and Ioseb Makrakhidze.
“These are the Majority Factions. MPs setting up the Factions are single mandates. We have verified compliance with Rules of Procedure. All the requirements are adhered to. The documents submitted meet all the norms of the Rules of Procedure”, - G. Kakhiani stated.
The Committee supported the Factions. The Committee conclusion will be submitted to the Bureau. In the event, if the Bureau makes the different decision, the Factions upon submission of the documents to the Speaker, will be considered registered. Thus, the Majority will have 8 Factions in the Parliament.
