The Defense and Security Committee discussing the Bills on harmonization with Constitution

The Committee considered with the II reading the vast legislative package.

According to the Chair, Irakli Sesiashvili, the Bills are aiming at harmonization with Constitution and shall be passed prior to inauguration. He introduced up to 50 Bills and emphasized the amended ones.

The Committee approved the package with the II reading and heard the report on 6 month implementation of state budget 2018 introduced by the Deputy Finance Minister, Giorgi Kakuridze.

He spoke about macro-economic parameters and consumption by state agencies, as well as introduced the information about actual implementation of the budget.

The budget implementation by the state agencies within the accounting period is as follows:

  • Defense Ministry – 94.2%;
  • MIA – 95.5%;
  • Intelligence Service – 72.8%;
  • State Security Service – 93.2%;
  • SSPS – 92.2%;
  • LEPL State Veteran Service – 82.6%.

The Committee gave the positive assessment to the report.
