The Georgia-Korea Friendship Group serves the visit to Seoul.
On the second day, Georgian MPs visited the Korean Demilitarized Zone – the historical place where in 1953 Korea signed the Truce Treaty. It is located in JSA zone. On April 27, 2018 it was the very place hosting the meeting of the South Korea President and North Korea Chair of the State Affairs Commission signing the Panmunjom Declaration.
The Vice Speaker, Zviad Dzidziguri stated that the April 27 Summit indicates to unprecedented progress in peacekeeping process giving hope for the parties to enhance relations.
“The tangible progress achieved between the parties is of utmost importance in view of building peace on Korean hemisphere. This process serves as the model for the world and ensures security for Korean people and in global terms”, - the Head of the Delegation, Shota Khabareli noted.
The Delegation is composed of Georgia-Korea Friendship Group members: Zviad Dzidziguri and Endzela Machavariani. The visit will be accomplished on September 12.
