Today the President of Georgia, Mr. Mikheil Saakashvili, according to the Constitution and the Rules of Procedure of Parliament, made the annual report on the current situation in the country for the sixth times.

Anzor Bolkvadze, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia assessed as excellent the construction of 4.9-kilometer road to Kedlebi Skiing Lodge. The road of reinforced concrete that is 5 meters in width and is made of 20- cm thick of the reinforced concrete, will match Batumi-Khulo highway to village Kedlebi. 55 persons were employed on the construction works.
Today Paata Davitaia, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia hold the briefing dedicated to the illicit and defective restoration of Georgian cultural inheritance in Abkhazia.
Paata Davitaia, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia protested against the ban on teaching Georgian language in Akhalgori and dedicated the special briefing to this issue.
The Deputy-Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Paata Davitaia demanded convocation of the sitting of the Anti-crisis Council invitation of the Prime Minister, Nikoloz Gilauri thereto. According to the Statement of Paata Davitaia, the Prime Minister shall explain to the Council the reason of failure of implementation of the state strategy vis-a-vis the IDPs and the reason of the Government, being so inhuman towards them.
"Future of Ossetyans, residing in Tskhinvali region and of Abkhazians is solely connected with Georgia and these people shall think about it” – the Deputy-Chairman of the Parliament, Paata Davitaia stated at the briefing today, which was held concerning the second anniversary of illegal recognition of Abkhazia and South Ossetya by Russian Federation. He emphasized his attention to the current situation on these territories.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the local self-government and Non-governmental Organizations, the IDPs and those who suffered as a consequence of the conflict. Rusudan Kervalishvili spoke of significance of the Resolution of the Security Council and ways of implementation thereof in Georgia.
Rusudan Kervalishvili, the Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia together with the Management of the Social Service Agency attended the process of re-filling of the registration forms by the socially vulnerable population residing in Samgori District.
The Deputy Chairman of the Parliament, Anzor Bolkvadze and David Siradze, the deputy executive director of the Municipal Development Fund visited the ongoing works financed by the fund in Shuakhevi and Khulo.
The Deputy-Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia, Mrs. Rusudan Kervalishvili participated in humanitarian action, held for the IDP settlement in Gori and spoke with the local population on solution ways for existent problems.
The Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Anzor Bolkvadze met with the new management of the resort Beshumi and expressed interest in the resort’s work during the summer season. The rest homes are already renovated for the tourists in the resort of Beshumi. The construction of the new rest homes and rehabilitation of water supply systems, by the support of Anzor Bolkvadze, have already started.
The Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia Rusudan Kervalishvili attended the opening of the summer camp for children with diabetics.
With the subsequent humanitarian mission Rusudan Kervalishvili, the Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of Georgia visited Martkopi Boarding House for the Disabled.
Gigi Tsereteli, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia opened the workshop on the US-Georgian Joint Workshop on Research of Infectious Diseases, which is dedicated to HIV/Aids tuberculosis and hepatitis. Te meeting is being held in Tbilisi, hotel Marriott. Almost 200 scientists, researchers, practical doctors participate, among them the distinguished experts from the leading universities of the US.
Rusudan Kervalishvili, the Vice Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, Nugzar Tsiklauri, the Chairman of the Committee on Relations with Compatriots Residing Abroad, Khatuna Ochiauri, the Chairman of the Committee on Education and Culture, and Irakli Kenchoshvili, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on European Integration visited the National Center of Manuscripts.
Aznor Bolkvadze, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament observed the repair works of Riketi School. The restoration of the school will be ended by September. "The project of the restoration of the educational establishments is at its final stage in Adjara and among them in Khulo municipality.
Rusudan Kervalishvili, the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia attended the meeting of the executives of the "Society of Friends of the National Center of Manuscripts”, where she was elected as a Head of the Society.
After the completion of the repair works of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University Vazha Pshavela Memorial Cabinet will be opened.
The Deputy-Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia visited the repair works of Adjara-Meskhet-Javakheti connecting road and the bridge in village Danisparauli, Khulo, which were damaged by the landslide caused by the downpour. At present the construction of the new bridge on the place of the old one is almost completed. Anzor Bolkvadze thanked the Department of Roads and the construction company "Khidi”(Bridge) for the operative cooperation.
