Differing from the activity of specific branch committees, Procedural Issues and Rules Committee:

• Ensures the protection of the requirements of the Regulations of the Parliament of Georgia;
• Considers the issues on breaching the terms of drafting and discussing the draft of law;
• Controls timely execution of issues set by the Bureau of Parliament as well as defined by the transitive regulations of the laws of Georgia and parliamentary resolutions;
• Exposures and accordingly responds to the facts of incompatibility of status of MPs;
• Examines and considers the issue of notification and beforehand cessation of authority of MP;
• Defines the number of committee members and the proportional representation quota of MPs in investigative and other temporary commissions and permanent parliamentary delegations;
• Periodically and if necessary, analyzes the information about the property and finances of MP;
• Controls the facts of non-attendance of MPs on committee meetings and ensures its publication.
