The newly constructed Parliament Palace in Kutaisi was inaugurated with the session. The Chairman of the Parliament, David Bakradze opened the event with congratulations to the audience and the Georgian people with the Independence Day. "I congratulate everyone with the Independence Day of Georgia, as there is no greater and significant day for every person, being the patriot and the citizen of their country, as the Independence Day. This day is important with the fact as well that this is the first time that Parliament convenes in Kutaisi and from this date, Kutaisi will obtain the new function – it will be formed as the Administrative and Political hub of Georgia”, - he stated. The Chairman of the Parliament, along with the President of Georgia, formally attached the glass construction to the façade, with which the first stage of construction was accomplished.
