The Deputy-Chairperson of Parliament, Rusudan Kervalishvili hosted the USAID representatives. The parties discussed the gender equality issues in Georgia.

The projects were also considered, financed by USAID, concerning economic strengthening of women, the socially vulnerable citizens and IDPs. Rusudan Kervalishvili and the USAID representatives touched upon the future cooperation plans and the projects, envisaging gender issues.

According to evaluation by Rusudan Kervalishvili, such meetings bear high importance, inasmuch as they aim at strengthening women and their opportunities as one of the priorities in Georgia within the scope of the action plan of the Gender Equality Council.
