The Committee reached the consensus on the changes to the Law on Higher Education. The initiator of the draft law, Zviad Dzidziguri made the statement regarding this fact at the Committee sitting today. The Committee considered this issue with the third reading.

The Committee member, Sergo Ratiani gave the positive evaluation to the cooperation though noted that deriving from the fact that the issue has been considered in the accelerated manner, some norms need to be improved and that he is ready to further cooperate. The author of the initiative agreed with his opinion concerning further cooperation and stated that together with the Patriarchy and the Ministry, it is possible to precise some paragraphs in the future.

According to the Chairman of the Committee, Ivane Kighuradze, discussing some changes is unacceptable for him at this stage as the draft law shall either be adopted in this form or not. “I have read the draft law, I had some doubts but in the end I decided to support it”, - he noted.
