The Chairman of the Committee on European Integration, Victor DOLIDZE and the Deputy-Chair of the Committee on Foreign Relations, Giorgi VOLSKI summed up the sessions of the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee on February 25-26 in Vienna and sessions of OSCE PA on February 21-22.

As Mr. DOLIDZE stated, the events were productive. The principle issues of Georgia, such are de-occupation, conflict resolution mechanisms and necessity of further negotiations with Russia were included into the daily agenda of the bilateral and unilateral meetings.
Mr. DOLIDZE, at the OSCE PA, as the Head of the Parliamentary Delegation, held the meetings with the high representative of OSCE, the Ambassador of Ireland to OSCE, the Head of the Conflict Resolution Centre, the representatives of OSCE ODIHR. As the stated at the pres-conference, the parties spoke about the possibility of OSCE monitoring mission restoration in Georgia.
As to the EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee in Brussels, Mr. DOLIDZE and Mr. VOLSKI gave the positive evaluation to the session in general and underlined the fact that the parties failed to agree on the official document, which is of the recommendation character, due to the disagreement within the Georgian delegation. “We agreed on main issues at the session, including the IDP and conflict issues and when the document could be adopted, the National Movement offered the Article, prescribing inactivity of police and pressure on political minority. We, as the big part of EMPs, could not share this paragraph and this was the reason of failure of adoption of the document”, - Mr. VOLSKI stated.
As Mr. DOLIDZE stated, the meetings with EMPs once more revealed that the plans of the Government of Georgia about the accomplishment of working on negotiations about the Association Agreement with EU for the summit of EaP in Vilnius in 2013, including DCFTA, are real.
