The main directions of the activity, the mission of the Budget and Finance Office and capacity to improve the functions thereof were discussed at the Parliament, where the presentation on the said topic was held by the German expert, Unger SCHATZ.

The financial support was provided by the German Agency on International Cooperation – GIZ.
The expert spoke about the Parliamentary oversight on the finances and the role of the Budget Office in this term. Besides, he attached his attention to the main functions and the role of the Budget Office, introduced the international practice on the example of the USA Congress Budget Office, Canadian Parliamentary Budget Office and South Korean National Assembly Budget Office.
In the end, the discussion was held around the Budget Office of the Parliament of Georgia, the activity thereof and the tasks it faces.
The German expert also plans to hold the meetings with the representatives of the legislative and executive authorities. He will also develop the recommendations concerning improving the activity of the Budget Office.
