The citizen Nana Tokhvadze appealed to the Chair of the Committee, Gubaz Sanikidze with the initiative to establish Georgian school in Athens. According to N. Tokhvadze, it is important for Georgians, residing in Greece to have Georgian schools in Athens and Thessalonica, where children will get education with the academic programs, adjusted to educational standards of two countries. According to her, 150000 GEL is necessary for funding the school and the teachers will be selected on the basis of Georgian pedagogues, residing in Georgia, who will pass the corresponding certification trainings. She also spoke about the issue of licensing and authorization of school and asked the Chair to solve this question on the legislative level. As the Chair elucidated, this initiative is important and he will elaborate the draft in agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science.
