The sitting of the Gender Equality Council

The Gender Equality Council considered the national action plan of the UN Security Council Resolution “On Women, Peace and Security” at the sitting, held in Hotel Ambassador. According to the first Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, the Chair of the Gender Equality Council, Manana Kobakhidze – “Unfortunately, we have the occupied territories, and there are victim women, girls and this resolution concerns rehabilitation and aid for them, also women participation in conflict resolution, in negotiations on peace and security, thus, it is very important to thoroughly implement these resolutions”. 


The participants of the meeting were the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, the staff of the State Minister on Reintegration, the Ministry of Refugees and Settlement, the National Security Council, the Ministry of Education and Science and public sector.
Each of them introduced the detailed report on activity within the national action plan of 2012.
