The Chair of the Committee on Legal Issues, Vakhtang Khmaladze and the members of the inter-faction group met with the Expert of CoE in Financing parties and electoral campaigns, Mr. Justin Fisher.

The main topic of the conversation was the issue of financing of the parties during the election process. Mr. Khmaladze introduced the existing situation in Georgia in this term and the legislation base. The parties spoke about the European experience and expected changes in legislation in Georgia.
“The issue of financing the political parties during the election process is one of the most important issues, considered by the inter-faction group. We will try, within capacity, to select the optimal model and enact in Georgia”, - he stated.
