According to the Speaker, the Parliamentary majority is ready to override the veto by the President this time too. As he stated, the veto was not unexpected, as the President has made the statement about it during the consideration of the drafts. “The majority is ready. First of all, we will study the remarks by the President. I doubt that there are some interesting ones to share. So, we will vote and I am sure that the Parliament will override this veto as the drafts adopted by us are useful for the country and judiciary. Everyone, including the Venice Commission, clearly indicate to it. The only argument of the President for suspension of this reform is as if we have not shared the opinion by the Venice Commission. I hope you all heard the statement by the Venice Commission President that the Commission hails these changes, considering the reform conducted in the right direction”, - he stated. As he stated, neither M. Saakashvili nor the minority have arguments except that they do not want to change the situation in the courts. “The situation in the courts will be positively changed, granting the judges more independence and serving for the interests of the citizens”, - he stated.
