The international expert, Jürgen Schatz, within the GIZ program “Public Finance Management in South Caucasus”, introduced the budgetary office reforming project. The employees and the members of the Committee heard the activity mandate, functions and organization of the office. As Mr. Schatz elucidated, functions of the Committee staff and the office shall be separated for effective activity of the office. According to the project, the budgetary office is the structural unit of the administration of the Parliament and directly subordinated to the Speaker. The Head of the office, with nomination by the Chair of the Committee on Budget and Finance, shall be appointed with the term of 5 years by the Speaker. The event will proceed tomorrow with attendance of the members of the Committees on Budget and Finance, on Procedural Issues and Rules and the representatives of the Legal Department.
