One of the leaders of majority, Tinatin Khidasheli delivered the speech at PACE upon consideration of the presentation “Corruption, as a threat for jural state”. She spoke of necessity of dealing with other problems simultaneously with standard and traditional forms of corruption. “Unfortunately, we live in the world, where democracy is under threat due to corruption. Corruption took roots in state instances and private sector, media, NGOs. The scale of corruption is increasing, menacing to modernity. I would like to pay your attention to the situation, when difference between the state and the political party disappears and the state budget serves for one political party/electoral goals. In this situation, elections and democratic process become meaningless and it leads to revolution. I hope CoE will start elaboration of the mechanism for purposeful monitoring”, - she stated.
