The Speaker of the Parliament, David Usupashvili visited Athens and attended the 20th jubilee Orthodox Inter-Parliamentary Assembly. He delivered the welcome speech and underlined the activity of the Assembly and importance of jubilee declaration. “Orthodoxy is our national identity and value. We must be guided with these values in the decision-making process for peace and development”, - he noted. He delivered the greetings by the Catholic-Patriarch of Georgia, Ilia II and the will to hold this event in Georgia in the future. The Assembly member states signed the jubilee declaration. The members of the Parliamentary Delegation were as follows: Zakaria Kutsnashvili and Dimitri Khundadze. |
