The Memorandum on Cooperation was signed between Gender Equality Council and Gender Equality Network. The signers defined the principles and directions of
cooperation, which will facilitate political strengthening of women. The memorandum was signed by the Chair of the Gender Equality Council, Manana Kobakhidze and the Chair of Gender Equality Network, Manana Mebuke. The welcome speech was delivered by the Vice-Speaker, M. Kobakhidze. The parties discussed future policy and activity. “We will continue cooperation with NGOs on gender equality issues. 2014 is the year of municipal elections and we strive to have more women represented, - M. Kobakhidze noted. 

The meeting was organized by IFES and USAID.
