The Committee considered the drafts, subject to enactment upon the oath by the newly elected President. The MPs considered the package of 11 drafts with the first reading, the main essence of which is alteration of authority of the President and counter-assignment. According to the Bureau, the drafts will be considered in accelerated manner. According to the Chair, Vakhtang Khmaladze, sundry drafts shall be added to the list. The Committee considered the draft by Paata Lezhava on change to the Law on Weapon. According to the reporter, the draft entitles the President of the National Bank, the Secretary of Security Council and the Head of State Audit to wear weapon after expiration of their term. The Chair delivered the negative conclusion by the Parliamentary Secretary of the Government, though noted that he is not against the draft. The Committee did not support the draft with 4 votes for and 2 against.
