The Committee considered with the first reading the changes to the law on Science, Technologies and Development Thereof. The draft envisages expansion of authority of the Government and definition of new authorities in the sphere of science and technological development. According to the reporter, Giorgi Kakhiani, enactment of the number of norms of the Constitution after 2013 Presidential entails changes to up to 160 laws. The Committee supported submission of the draft to the plenary.
