OSCE PA Delegation met with Majority |

OSCE PA President continues meetings in Georgia. He separately met with Majority and Minority. The upcoming Presidential, conflict regions and OSCE MM restoration are the main topics considered at the meeting with majority in camera. As the majority leader, David Saganelidze stated, election process was the topic. “The guests were interested in the election process, risks and problems, if the Government is ready to hold the fair and unbiased elections. I assured them that these elections will be the most democratic in Georgia. Georgian people will elect the President elected instead of appointed by one party”, - he stated. According to him, the parties spoke of restoration of OSCE mission mandate in Georgia. Under the background of recent events, this is very important for us as he stated. According to him, they expressed their will and commitment though this is not up to them, he added. The parties spoke of the situation in the village Ditsi. One of the majority leaders, Victor Dolidze evaluates the occupation line situation as destructive action by Russia. “Under such destructive actions by Russia, it is important to enhance international involvement. All our resources are directed to make international society increase pressure on Russia”, - he stated. “We spoke about Georgia-OSCE PA cooperation. The OSCE MM plays important role in fair elections. We thank the mission for the efforts in human rights protection”, - Eliso Chapidze stated. |
