The changes to the Code of Administrative Offense were considered with the first reading. the draft envisages revision of the responsibilities, imposed under the number of articles of the Code, making them more severe or extenuate – penalty for driving under the influence of alcohol are to be made severe. The driver shall be fined with 50 GEL if the car windows are darker without the permit by Interior Ministry, repeated case is subject to penalty of 100 GEL and in the event of the third action the driving license shall be deprived with the term of 6 months. The administrative penalty shall be made severe in various traffic violations. Severe sanctions are imposed in case of violation of sale of spirits, responsibility shall be severe in case of actions insulting the dignity in public places: sexual behavior, nakedness, physiological needs. The new edition of the Code reflects the responsibility for false notifications by minors, imposing responsibility on the parents. False notifications on terrorism is envisaged in separate draft. The Committee supported submission thereof to the session. The Committee considered with the first reading the drafts: change to the law on International Cooperation in Judiciary and change to the law on Diplomatic Service. The first will regulate the issues of international cooperation, connected to the operative-detective information and personal data exchange, the draft also envisages granting the diplomatic status of “police (security) attaché” and “liaison officer” to the representatives of Interior Ministry. The Committee considered with the second reading the drafts: changes to the law on State Secret and changes to the law on Rule of Registration of Georgian Citizens and Foreigners Residing in Georgia, ID (Residence) Issue and Georgian Passport Issue, also changes to the law on Weapon. The Committee supported submission thereof to the session.
