The fundamental changes to the Constitution, subject to enactment upon the oath by the newly elected President in 2013, entailed the changes to the law on Broadcasting. As Tamar Kordzaia noted, in the event of proof of the conflict of interest and offense, the Parliament is entitled to dismiss the Commission member. Upon this event, the Parliament shall be guided under the Rules of Procedure provision on cessation of authority ahead of time for the Member of Parliament. The changes to the law on Culture were introduced by Eliso Chapidze. According to her, the draft withdraws the norm, concerning the approval of the list of the cultural heritage of Georgia by the President. The Committee considered the change to the law on Author’s Rights, according to which, Georgian Patent shall provide the proposals to the law on Author’s Rights upon conduct of the state policy instead of the President, shall submit thereof to the Prime Minister. The Committee supported submission of the drafts to the session. |
