According to the changes to the labor Code and the law on Public Service, the number of maternity leave days shall be increased from 477 to 730 calendar days, the number of paid days increases from 126 to 183 and in the event of twin delivery, from 140 to 200 calendar days. Relevantly the amount for paid leave shall increase from 600 to 1000 GEL. The initiative by Dimitri Khundadze and Mirian Tsiklauri was supported by the Committee. The Committee also considered with the third reading the draft by David Onoprishvili on changes to the laws on: Enforcement Proceedings; Enterprising Activity Control and Insurance. The drafts envisage technical and editorial changes, according to which the law shall be harmonized with the changes to the law concerning insurance supervision. The Committee supported submission of the drafts to the session.
