The number of days for maternity leave shall increase from 477 to 730, 183 amongst which is paid instead of 126 and the reimbursement constitutes 1000 GEL according to the changes to the Labor Code by Dimitri Khundadze with the first reading. Deriving from the document, the changes are to be adopted to the law on Public Service subject to consideration with accelerated manner. In the event of traffic violations, violations of rules of alcohol sale, also false notifications of terrorism by minors, the administrative measures are to be altered according to the changes to the Code of Administrative Offense, considered with the first reading. Deriving from urgency of issue, the Deputy-Minister of Internal Affairs, Levan Izoria answered the questions on principles. The MPs considered with the first reading the draft by Irakli Sesiashvili on defense sphere. The changes are entailed with the Constitutional changes subject to enactment upon the oath by the newly elected President in 2013. Namely, the changes are to be adopted to the laws on: Weapon, Military Technique and Double-Purpose Product Export and Import Control; Military Police; State Secrecy; Military Reserve Service; Non-military, Alternative Labor Service; War and Military Forces Veterans; Military Planning; Participation of Georgian Armed Forces in Peace-keeping Operations; Mobilization etc. The MPs also considered up to 20 drafts and heard the reports by the Committees on Defense and Security, on European Integration, on Budget and Finance, on Regional Policy and Self-Government and on Procedural Issues and Rules. The MPs also heard the demand by the minority on political debates and supported the resolution on “Appointment of the Day for Political Debates” according to which on October 1, at 14h00, the debates will be held. The MPs supported the draft on changes and amendments to the Constitution of Georgia, withdrawing the norm, envisaging the vote of confidence of the Parliament to the drafts initiated by the Government. Zakaria Kutsnashvili asked to hold the rating voting for the issue where 100 MPs supported the document and 103 MPs voted for on the next voting. The next extraordinary session will be held on Friday, September 27, at 14h00. |
