The Committee considered the changes to the Labor Code, concerning maternity leave term, which is subject to be increased to 6 months instead of 4 and the remuneration which as well increases from 600 to 1000 GEL according to the changes to the law on Public Service. the Committee considered with the second reading. The Committee received the legislative initiative by Magda Anikashvili, Giorgi Targamadze, Giorgi Akhvlediani and Levan Vepkhvadze on maternity leave and vacation remuneration to be increased but due to this issue to be already under consideration, it was rejected. The Committee considered the petition by the parents of disabled children demanding from the Parliament to consider with accelerated manner the issue of reflection of the requirements of the disabled children and caring parents protection by Social Protection League, offered in 2010 to the national legislation. Also they demand immediate ratification of the UN 2006 Disabled Persons Convention.
