The talented youth shall enter the higher universities without the national exams if they have high evaluation in international Olympic games or art-creative competition according to the changes to the law on Higher Education, introduced by the Chair, Ivane Kiguridze. The changes establishe the rule of financing for academic grant defined by the Ministry of Education and Science. The law shall become retroactive for the persons who fail to overcome the minimal competence level. The Committee supported the draft. The Committee also initiated the draft on protection of the official language. According to the draft, developed along with the Academy of Sciences, the state budget funded body shall be established to control protection of the official language. As it was noted, this body shall control the official documentation, advertisements, media information and in case of violations, impose the sanctions. The relevant changes are to be adopted to the laws on Public Service and on Broadcasting, also to the Code of Administrative Offense.
