The changes are to be adopted to the Tax Code. Currently, transportation without invoice, refusal to issue or receive invoice if the market value of the product does not exceed 10000 GEL, entails penalty of 500 GEL. According to the draft, the amount shall increase to 5000 GEL. As the Chair, Giorgi Tsagareishvili elucidated, the changes facilitate to preserve the forest from cutting by the persons, who hold illegal enterprise activity. He also stated that this does not apply to the population, residing in rural areas as they are imposed with the sanction, regulated under the Code of Administrative Offense. The Committee supported the draft by the Government.
