The Commission heard the answers by the founder of LLC “Alania” Mamuka Tatoshvili. According to him, there was the studio “Ertoba” before LLC “Alania”. On the question to who’s orders implemented the studio, what was the source of funds and if they bought premise of “Alania” on Zubalashvilis street from the state, he did not want to publicly answer. He underlined the secrecy due to which the sitting was held in camera. As the Chair, Tina Khidasheli noted, he still did not disclose the information. “Tatoshvili gave a poor answer. According to him, the premise was granted by the Ministry of Economy with symbolic price though he did not mention the amount. He did not spoke about the agreement between LLC and Ertoba though we will inquire these documents”, - she stated. The Commission members also heard the general producer of Alania, Alexander Parulava. The questions concerned about the way of modification of Alania into PIK to which Parulava elucidated that only title was changed. On the question about the relations of the company with governmental structures, he elucidated that it was on the level, concerning security of the journalists on South Ossetia territory. On the question about his salary, he elucidated that it was transferred to the card or in cash. The data, available to the Commission proofs that Alania held illegal broadcasting during several years without license”, - Khidasheli noted. as to PIK, Parulava elucidated that financing was only from PB. The Commission also heard the CEOs of TV Sakartvelo in 2007-2010 and 2010-2012. As it was noted, the company was financed from the Defense Ministry and cooperated only with the press-service as the programs concerned the military sphere. The Commission was interested in relation between TV Sakartvelo and Rustavi 2. The Commission also heard the owner of Radio Dardimandi and the chair of Afkhazetis Khma, Giorgi Korakhashvili. The question concerned Kiss FM claim on forceful cessation of frequency. The answer was that he was addressed by David Imedashvili after which the frequency was bought. Korakhashvili answered the questions about termination of Pirveli Radio and ownership of some share of Imedi TV. According to him, the radio frequency was bought with high price and as to termination of Pirveli Stereo, he said that he was asked for help by his friend, David Bezhuashvili. “Bezhuashvili asked to share my technical skills with him in terms of Pirveli Stereo. My friend did not terminate the TV, he switched on the content pertaining under the license”, - he stated. As to the share of Imedi, he stated that it appeared a loss project. “The wife of Imedi founder, Ina Gudavadze expressed to gain Imedi back, so I gained my share of 35% back with symbolic price”, - he noted. The Commission heard the director general of Rustavi 2, Nika Gvaramia and answered to the question if entertainment programs since 2007 till nowadays were financed by state and the ways of advertising that the advertising was by means of mediator. Till 2010 it was MediaHouse and since 2011 it was General Media. He elucidated that now it is Inter Media. He also spoke about relation between Sakartvelo and Rustavi 2 and noted that it is expressed in leasing of equipment, real estate, technical service. the Commission will hold the next meeting tomorrow at 11h00.
