We will soon have a high quality public broadcasting, the guarantee of which is the change to the law on Broadcasting, considered by the Committee with the first reading. The draft was introduced by Eliso Chapidze and Murman Dumbadze. Upon speaking about the general principles, E. Chapidze introduced the changes, based on recommendations by NGOs.

The seminar started with consideration of Georgia-Russia relations. The reports were made by the special representative of the Prime Minister, Zurab Abashidze, the former Deputy-Foreign Minister of Russia, the Chief Researcher at the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of World Economy and International Relations, Georgy Kunadze, Caucasus Project Director, International Crisis Group (ICG), Lawrence SHEETS.
