The Parliament of Georgia took note of the report of the Ombudsman "On Human Rights and Freedom Protection State in Georgia for 2012”. The Parliament ratified the Resolution with 78 votes against 13. As to the proposal of the Faction "Christian-Democrats” concerning dismissal of the Minister of IDPS from the Occupied Territories, Settlement and Refugees, Koba Subeliani and the Minister of Penitentiary and Legal Assistance, Khatuna Kalmakhelidze on the basis of the report by the Ombudsman, was not supported during the ballot.

The Members of the Faction "Unity for Justice”, Dimitri Lortkipanidze and Tamaz Diasamidze spoke about the role of Parliament in building the democratic state.

The Deputy-Chairman of the Parliament, Giorgi Tsereteli made the speech at OSCE PA Bureau sitting, where the current situation in South Caucasus was discussed. He noted that unfortunately, there is not a single sign on the occupied territories that Russia fulfills the assumed obligations despite the numerous Resolutions or warnings by OSCE and other organizations. On the contrary, there is held active militarization, preparation for so-called military trainings "Caucasus 2012”, which definitely serves as a menace and as the provocative ground.

The Deputy-Chairman of the Parliament, Giorgi Tsereteli is in Copenhagen to participate in OSCE PA Bureau. The agenda issues are consideration of the reports by the special rapporteurs on political, human rights and economic directions in OSCE region, also hearing of the reports by the Election Observation Missions.
