The Conference: "Codes and Standards of Ethics for Parliamentarians” opened in "Metekhi Palace Hotel”, Tbilisi. The main theme of the Conference is: Regulation of the Parliamentary ethics- Principles, Challenges, and Trends.

The "Christian-Democrats” Faction supposes that significant changes shall be introduced to the Constitution of Georgia in order to provide the state with the legitimate leverage for protection of moral and intellectual basics of society and national identity. The leader of Parliamentary Minority, Giorgi Targamadze spoke at the briefing regarding this issue and echoed the Easter Epistle of the Catholic-Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II.

The Parliament of Georgia at today’s plenary sitting, by 86 votes for and 6 against, adopted by the first reading the organic draft law "On Political Unions of Citizens” – on introduction of amendments and supplements to the organic law”. The amendments regulate the issues of party funds, donations and monitoring of party’s financial activities.
