In 2008, the pardon and the amnesty process were performed gradually and totally, amnesty concerned to 3524 convicts and the pardon – to 2804 convicts. The most large-scale pardon was implemented in December 17, 2008. In result, 1280 convicts left the prison.

The Leader of Georgian Dasi, Jondi Baghaturia demands call of special sitting of Anti-crisis Council. At the press-conference, held in Parliament jointly with the refugees from Akhalgori, Baghaturia stated that the Governments of USA, Germany and France allocated millions of USD for refugees for the purpose to construct dwelling cottages and grant remunerations in the amount of 10 thousand USD, although 150 refugee families from Akhalgori have gained nothing from the state so far.

According to the statement of the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, the Member of "Christian-Democrats” Faction, Levan Vepkhvadze, amount, considered for each Political Party for the voters’ list re-check purpose is not sufficient for perfect implementation of the process. The Member of Parliament offers the consolidated and joint implementation to the Political Parties, willing to participate. "Christian-Democrats” suppose that the special fund shall be established, allowing the re-check of the lists.

"On the whole the number of voters may reach 4 million, which is absolutely incredible.
