The Speaker of the Parliament and the MP Gubaz Sanikidze visited the National Centre of Manuscripts. They were guided by the Director of the Centre, Buba Kudava to see the ancient, unique handwritten books and historical documents. He also spoke about the necessity of urgent restoration of monuments. “The state must do its best to take care of these most important and unique monuments. It is the obligation of the state to create safe conditions”, - he noted. “Our pride, the most important heart of our culture and unique exhibits are in grave condition. It shall not last long. We speak about non-tangible culture of Georgia, though the tangible treasure is kept in this institution”, - G. Sanikidze noted. As it was stated, there are sundry versions of development of the Centre. The Parliament promised support and help. The guests took the photo with the Centre employees.
