The Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee Reviewed the Results of Monitoring the Implementation of Parliament’s Resolution on the Public Defender’s Report

The Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee reviewed the results of monitoring the implementation of Parliament’s Resolution of 12 June 2025 concerning the Public Defender’s report “On the State of Human Rights and Freedoms Protection in Georgia in 2024”.
According to the presenter, Chair of the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Rati Ionatamishvili, the resolution contained 284 assignments.
“Based on these assignments, the Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee maintained proactive cooperation with all relevant institutions. Following an analysis of the responses received, the Committee considered 154 of the 284 assignments fulfilled, while 90 assignments are currently in the process of implementation, bringing the overall implementation rate to 85.9%. Forty assignments remain unfulfilled, accounting for 14.1%. As for the unfulfilled assignments, our oversight does not end after one calendar year. The Parliament of Georgia and our Committee will continue supervising the implementation of these 40 assignments until every task set out in the resolution is considered fulfilled”, - Rati Ionatamishvili stated.
