MPs from the Political Group “Citizens”, Levan Ioseliani and Alexander Elisashvili held a meeting with the British Ambassador, H.E. Mark Clayton to discuss the upcoming Municipal Elections and the pre-electoral milieu.

The Ambassador asked about the political processes and the electoral reforms.

“The Ambassador asked about the progress of the pre-electoral campaign and if our party especially is under the state pressure. He also asked about the degree of our consent about the electoral reforms and the way of reflection of the electoral changes at the electoral level, or how optimistic or pessimistic we are about the elections and if the normal elections can be eventually held”, - A. Elisashvili stated.

The parties dwelt on the observation missions from OSCE and Great Britain.

“The Ambassador promised to ensure the thorough observation on the pre-electoral and the electoral process to ensure the reliable elections”, - he added.
