The Chair of the Education and Science Committee, Giorgi Amilakhvari met with the Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, H.E. Pawel Herczynski to discuss the joint educational projects of Georgia and the European Union.

Giorgi Amilakhvari introduced the major activities of the Committee to the Ambassador and provided information on ongoing projects and reforms in the field of education. The parties also discussed future cooperation prospects.

"We discussed the educational initiatives that we are carrying out in Georgia in collaboration with the European Union. We must prioritize connecting Georgian science and education with the academic and research communities in Europe. Setting up future strategies for cooperation in this area was crucial. The Ambassador indicated his complete readiness to support the initiatives we carry out within the Committee's framework", - Giorgi Amilakhvari stated.

The meeting was also attended by Mariam Lashkhi, the First Deputy Chair of the Education and Science Committee.
